Application Criteria

The Orchard is a permanent supportive housing community dedicated to serving individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. Applicants must meet the federal definition of chronic homelessness and may be referred through coordinated entry systems, outreach programs, or partner agencies in collaboration with the Santa Ana Housing Authority.

Priority is given to individuals who:

  • Have experienced long-term or repeated episodes of homelessness
  • Have a documented disabling condition (mental illness, physical disability, substance use disorder, or chronic health condition)
  • Are willing to engage with onsite supportive services

Paper Application

We offer a paper application to ensure the application process is accessible to all. This option is available for those who may not have reliable internet access, prefer a printed format, or require accommodations. Paper applications may be printed or picked up from the management office.
